Saudi Arabia transfer tracker: Every confirmed major summer deal

Saudi clubs had until Thursday, September 7 to get deals over the line.

And with the likes of Neymar, Karim Benzema and Sadio Mane joining Cristiano Ronaldo in the Middle East, there have been plenty of huge names on the move.

Al-Ahli

Merih Demiral

Former Juventus centre-back Merih Demiral joined Al-Ahli on a three-year deal after spending the last two seasons at Atalanta.

The 39-cap Turkey international is still just 25 and looks as if he will be spending his prime years in Saudi.

Roberto Firmino

Roberto Firmino, 31, decided to join Al-Ahli on a free transfer after leaving Liverpool. The Brazilian ace signed a three-year deal with the Jeddah-based outfit.

During his eight years with the Reds, the 55-cap international helped them lift the Champions League, Premier League, FA Cup and Carabao Cup.

Roger Ibanez

Al-Ahli bolstered their defence with the signing of Roger Ibanez from Roma on a four-year deal.

The 24-year-old Brazil international was a regular starter under Jose Mourinho in the Eternal City and helped the Giallorossi win the Europa Conference League in 2022.

Franck Kessie

Ivory Coast midfielder Franck Kessie departed Barcelona after just a year with the Catalan club to join Al-Ahli.

The 26-year-old moved to LaLiga on a free transfer from AC Milan last summer but will now ply his trade in Saudi behind an exciting forward line.

Riyad Mahrez

Algeria winger Riyad Mahrez left Treble winners Manchester City to sign for Al-Ahli.

Despite having two years remaining on his contract at the Etihad, City agreed to let their left-footed attacker leave in a reported £30million deal.

Edouard Mendy

Edouard Mendy became the third Chelsea star to seal a Middle East move when joining Al-Ahli for an undisclosed fee.

Having played a key role in the Blues' 2021 Champions League triumph, the Senegal stopper lost his starting spot at Stamford Bridge last term and has now headed for pastures new.

Allan Saint-Maximin

Allan Saint-Maximin departed Newcastle as Al-Ahli continued to collect former Premier League stars to bolster their squad.

The Frenchman, 26, spent four years on Tyneside and helped the Magpies secure Champions League football last season before departing to Saudi Arabia on a three-year deal.

Gabri Veiga

One of Al-Ahli's most eye-catching purchases was 21-year-old Spanish midfielder Gabri Veiga.

The Saudi side fought off advances from the likes of Napoli to land the highly-rated talent from Celta Vigo on a three-year deal.

Al-Ettifaq

Moussa Dembele

Former Fulham, Celtic and Lyon striker Moussa Dembele signed a four-year deal with Al-Ettifaq.

The 27-year-old will bring his goalscoring talents to the Middle East, having bagged 56 times in 129 Ligue 1 games.

Demarai Gray

Demarai Gray has joined a number of ex-Premier League players at Al-Ettifaq, signing from Everton.

The winger publicly fell out with Toffees boss Sean Dyche and has now secured a move away.

Jordan Henderson

Boss Steven Gerrard welcomed fellow Liverpool legend and former team-mate Jordan Henderson to Al-Ettifaq.

England midfielder Henderson, 33, arrived for around £12m on a reported £700,000-a-week salary.

Georginio Wijnaldum

Henderson will play alongside former Reds team-mate Georginio Wijnaldum once again after the Dutchman joined Gerrard's side from Paris Saint-Germain.

Wijnaldum, 32, endured a mixed two seasons after leaving Anfield for the French capital in 2021.

Al-Hilal

Yassine Bounou

Yassine Bounou brought an end to his stint with Sevilla after helping the Spanish outfit win the 2022-23 Europa League.

Al-Hilal's new goalkeeper, 32, also starred for Morocco at the World Cup in Qatar last year.

Kalidou Koulibaly

Kalidou Koulibaly departed Chelsea just a year after signing from Napoli. 

The deal for the 32-year-old centre-back cost Al-Hilal a reported £20m, with his contract running until 2026.

Malcom

Former Barcelona winger Malcom became Al-Hilal's record signing by joining from Zenit Saint Petersburg for a reported fee of £51.4m.

The 26-year-old Brazil international played 109 games for his former employers, scoring 42 goals and winning four Russian Premier League titles.

Sergej Milinkovic-Savic

Sergej Milinkovic-Savic was Al-Hilal's third major summer signing, ending his eight-year stint at Lazio.

The Serbian midfielder, 28, joins Jorge Jesus' outfit on a three-year contract for a reported £34m.

Aleksandar Mitrovic

Aleksandar Mitrovic will look to forge a strike partnership with Neymar after swapping West London for Riyadh.

The Serbia international spent five years at Fulham and scored 111 goals — including a record 43 strikes in the 2021-22 Championship season.

Ruben Neves

Wolves received a club record fee of £47m from Al-Hilal for their former captain Ruben Neves, who had just one year remaining on his deal at Molineux.

The Portuguese midfielder — still only 26 — signed a three-year contract with the 18-time Saudi Pro League champions.

Neymar

Neymar completed the switch to Al-Hilal, marking another blockbuster arrival for the Saudi Pro League.

The 31-year-old signed a contract worth a reported £130m and has put pen to paper on a two-year deal with his new employers.

Al-Ittihad

Karim Benzema

Ballon d'Or winner Karim Benzema, 35, got Saudi's summer business under way by joining champions Al-Ittihad on a free transfer.

The Real Madrid icon signed a two-year contract with an option for a further year, which is reportedly worth around £100m per season.

Fabinho

Fabinho represented Al-Ittihad's fourth major signing of the summer, the Brazilian midfielder joining on a three-year deal.

He followed former Liverpool team-mate Henderson out of Anfield's exit door to make the move to the Middle East after an immensely successful five years for the Reds.

Luiz Felipe

Al-Ittihad have signed centre-back Luiz Felipe from Real Betis.

The defender spent six years at Lazio between 2016-22 and made his only appearance for Italy against Germany in June 2022.

Jota

Al-Ittihad secured the services of talented winger Jota, 24, from Celtic in another blockbuster move by the Jeddah-based side.

The Lisbon native was a crucial component in Ange Postecoglou's team that won the Scottish Premiership last season, during which he registered 11 goals and 11 assists.

N'Golo Kante

N'Golo Kante, 32, chose to walk the same path as his compatriot Benzema by moving to Al-Ittihad on a free transfer.

The all-action midfielder left Chelsea after seven years of quality service, signing a four-year deal worth a reported £86m per season.

Al-Nassr

Marcelo Brozovic

Marcelo Brozovic, 30, decided to join Ronaldo at Al-Nassr for a reported fee of £15m, with the Croatian midfielder signing a three-year contract with the nine-time Saudi Pro League winners.

The 87-cap international was a key figure at Inter Milan for many years and started in the Nerazzurri's Champions League final defeat to Manchester City last June.

Seko Fofana

All-action midfielder Seko Fofana, 28, rejected advances from Premier League clubs to join Al-Nassr on a three-year deal for a reported fee of £21.5m.

The former Manchester City youngster captained Lens to a second-place finish in Ligue 1 last season, which saw them qualify for the Champions League.

Aymeric Laporte

Aymeric Laporte, 29, has swapped Manchester City for Al-Nassr in another coup for the Saudi Pro League.

The Spanish international will be the latest star to link up with Ronaldo and Co in the Middle East.

Sadio Mane

Sadio Mane left Bayern Munich to sign with Al-Nassr despite joining the German outfit only last summer as he has struggled to find his top form.

Prior to his time in Bavaria, the Senegal international was an integral part of Liverpool's front line and helped the Reds win the Champions League, Premier League, FA Cup, Carabao Cup and Club World Cup.

Otavio

Versatile midfielder Otavio will link up with his Portugal international team-mate Ronaldo at Al-Nassr.

Born in Brazil, the 28-year-old maestro spent nine years at Porto and was named the 2022-23 Primeira Liga Player of the Season.

Alex Telles

Left-back Alex Telles brought an end to his mixed spell at Manchester United by swapping Old Trafford for Al-Awwal Park.

The 12-cap Brazil international spent the 2022-23 season on loan at Sevilla, where he helped the LaLiga side win a record seventh Europa League title.

Al-Shabab

Yannick Carrasco

Belgium forward Yannick Carrasco has left Atletico Madrid for the second time for a fresh start in the Middle East.
