The new Premier League season was full of twists and turns on the opening weekend and there are plenty of intriguing contests in the second gameweek.

Brighton host Man Utd in the lunchtime kick-off with both teams looking to follow up wins on the opening weekend, while title hopefuls Arsenal will be hoping to banish the memories of last season when they were beaten home and away by Aston Villa on their late trip to Villa Park.

Brighton vs Man Utd (Saturday, 12.30pm)

Bet 1: Brighton to win

Brighton were impressive in their 3-0 win over Everton and while Man Utd also won, they were far less convincing and left themselves vulnerable on the counter.

That could be dangerous against a Seagulls side that can be so strong on the break and have won four of the last five Premier League meetings between these two.

Bet 2:  Kaoru Mitoma to score at any time

Kaoru Mitoma opened his account for the Premier League season last weekend and he could follow up with another against the Red Devils.

The wide players will be critical to the Seagulls' success this term and Mitoma can thrive once more.

Bet 3: Over 2.5 goals

United's defence has been leaky under Erik Ten Hag, conceding 58 goals in 38 league games last term and this looks likely to be another game to go over 2.5 goals.

Aston Villa vs Arsenal (Saturday, 5.30pm)

Bet 1:  Arsenal to win

Arsenal barely broke a sweat against Wolves in the opening round and they are fancied to banish the demons of last season's two defeats to Aston Villa with a win.

The Gunners had won the last four head-to-heads before that and can triumph again.

Bet 2: Martin Odegaard to score at any time

Martin Odegaard registered a shot on target against Wolves and he has scored 23 goals during the last two Premier League campaigns – take him to get on the scoresheet here.

Bet 3: Both teams to score

Both teams found the net in Villa's opening win over West Ham and the same is fancied between two sensational attacking units.
