Roberto De Zerbi challenged Ansu Fati to get even better after starring in Brighton's 2-0 Europa League win at Ajax.

Barcelona loanee Fati, 21, scored the opening goal as the Seagulls secured their second win over the Dutch giants within the space of two weeks to climb into the top two in Group B.

Despite also teeing up Simon Adingra to score the second after the break, his manager believes that the starlet can improve.

Speaking about the goalscoring duo, De Zerbi told TNT Sports: "I am satisfied but I always expect more and more.

"For Ansu, he played very well in the first and second half but after the second goal I think he could play better.

"He could have scored the third goal. He needs to not just be happy with the goal, he needs to push for more.

"The first goal was important and was our style because we brought them under pressure and scored within two passes.

"The second was incredible because we kept the ball inside of the pitch, where I love it. It was a very, very nice goal.

"I'm delighted about the result, the performance and for our fans. They were incredible. We are very happy."

Seagulls defender Joel Veltman was pleased to see the Seagulls stay well in contention for a place in the knockout stage with the club's first ever away victory in Europe.

Veltman, who spent 19 years with Ajax, told Brighton's official site: "We've kept the dream alive.

"We needed those three points I think. It was quite an open game, especially second half, but I think at 2-0, we were quite comfortable.

"I think particularly in the second half, it was amazing. It's our first away win [in Europe] as well so I'm proud."
