- Rangers come into this fixture having lost two of their last three games
- FCSB have won both of their Europa League fixtures

Both teams to score

Rangers are in need of a victory over FCSB at Ibrox as they sit 17th in the Europa League table, having followed a 2-0 win at Malmo with a heavy 4-1 home defeat to Lyon.

FCSB, meanwhile, have maximum points, after beating Rigas FS 4-1 and then winning 1-0 at PAOK, while they are also finding their form in Romania’s Liga I.

Team news

Rangers will be without the injured Ridvan Yilmaz, Oscar Cortes and Rabbi Matondo.

Ross McCausland and Danilo remain doubtful, but Ianis Hagi is available again having been suspended for the 1-0 defeat at Kilmarnock over the weekend.

Darius Olaru is suspended for FCSB, who will also be without Adrian Sut, who has been granted compassionate leave.

The stats

Rangers have lost their last three European games at Ibrox, with Benfica beating them in the Europa League last season, Dinamo Kiev winning in a Champions League qualifier and that recent loss to Lyon.

FCSB are unbeaten in nine matches, which includes victories in each of their last five games.

The 1-0 defeat to Kilmarnock in the Scottish Premiership means that Rangers have lost two of their last three games.

FCSB have already played 23 games across all competitions this season, finding the net in 20 of them.

Prediction

Rangers got off to a flying start in the Europa League with that win in Malmo, but Lyon’s visit saw them come crashing down to earth, as they suffered a thrashing in front of their home fans.

The French side are one of the best teams in this competition, but Rangers also suffered an away loss at Kilmarnock on Sunday and having lost the first Old Firm match of the season 3-0 at Celtic, are off the pace in the title race.

Philippe Clement is under immense pressure and the wrong result in this match could see him sacked, which is bad news when hosting an in-form team.

FCSB won the Romanian league for the first time since 2015 last season and though they made a very poor start to their defence of that title, they have rediscovered their mojo in recent weeks.

Rangers have a decent defensive record, but with the pressure on them and against opponents that are scoring in every match, they could have a battle on their hands at Ibrox.
