Philippe Clement will have to try and pick up his Rangers squad after Saturday's title-defining loss to Celtic

- Dundee have scored only two goals in their last five matches
- Rangers have won eight of their last nine games against Dundee
- Recommended bet: Rangers to win & under 3.5 goals

Rangers chances of winning the Scottish Premiership title were effectively ended with a 2-1 loss to Celtic at Parkhead on Saturday and the Gers are back in action just a few days after that demoralising defeat.

Dundee will have been delighted to achieve a top-six finish, but the Dark Blues head to Ibrox on a six-game winless run.

Team news

Connor Goldson, Oscar Cortes and Danilo have been ruled out for the season, while Ryan Jack, Rabbi Matondo, Abdallah Sima and Leon Balogan all missed the trip to Celtic Park.

John Lundstram is suspended after his red card in Saturday’s Old Firm contest and Philippe Clement’s squad is stretched.

Dundee captain Joe Shaughnessy won’t play again this season and Owen Beck will also miss the remainder of the campaign.

John Lundstram is suspended for Rangers following his Old Firm nightmare on Saturday.

The stats

Dundee have scored only two goals in their last five matches.

Rangers have won eight of their last nine games against Dundee.

Dundee have won only two of their last 12 away games.

Dundee have scored only five goals in their last seven away games.

Four of Rangers last five games have gone under 3.5 goals.

Prediction

Saturday’s Glasgow derby was pivotal in the destination of the title, but the damage to Rangers’ Premiership dreams was inflicted before Saturday’s clash.

The Light Blues had the big prize in their hands, but last month’s defeat at Ross County and 0-0 draw at Dundee handed the initiative back to the champions.

Title race aside, Clement’s men are levels above Dundee, but the Ibrox side have a whole host of key players missing on Tuesday night and they may not run riot against the Dee.

Dundee have won only two of their last 12 away games, the Dark Blues have scored only two goals in their last five games, and while Tony Docherty’s men may be able to frustrate Rangers, they are unlikely to offer much threat going forward.

The Gers should be too good for Dundee, but taking a Rangers win and under 3.5 goals in the game looks the bet.
