Erik ten Hag's Manchester United kick-off Saturday's action away to Southampton

The Premier League is back this weekend after the first international break of the season and Manchester City, Liverpool and Manchester United are among the teams in action on Saturday.

In total, there are eight fixtures to take in from the top-flight on Saturday and here are our expert writers’ top selections from each of those games.

Southampton vs Manchester United (12.30pm)

Russell Martin's Southampton were free-scoring at home in the Championship but their forwards are struggling with the step up and under 2.5 goals looks a good bet against United.

The Red Devils are also lacking attacking fluency. They beat Fulham 1-0 in their opening game and their loss to Liverpool featured only six shots on target so they may struggle to turn on the style at St Mary's.

Brighton vs Ipswich (3pm)

Joao Pedro's injury-time winner gave Brighton a 2-1 win over Manchester United in their last Premier League home game and both teams have scored in eight of their last 10 league victories at the Amex Stadium.

That trend could continue against Ipswich, who scored 92 goals in 46 Championship matches last season and look capable of troubling top-flight defences this term.

Crystal Palace vs Leicester (3pm)

The signs point to a home victory, with Saturday's game an excellent opportunity for Crystal Palace to break their duck for the campaign.

Leicester have been competitive in their three games but are already showing signs of failing to demonstrate the requisite quality to survive in the Premier League, however, they could still score.

Fulham vs West Ham (3pm)

This should be a closely-fought London derby, but Fulham will fancy their chances of claiming all three points after doing the double over West Ham last season.

While they may not be able to match the 5-0 thrashing they handed out to the Hammers last December, Fulham have proven over an extended period of time that they are a hard nut to crack on home soil.

Liverpool vs Nottingham Forest (3pm)

Nottingham Forest have won their last three Premier League away games and while that statistic will give them a degree of confidence this week, it is plainly much tougher to win at Anfield – something the club have not done since 1969 – than triumphing at Sheffield United, Burnley and Southampton.

A fourth successive clean sheet looks a strong possibility for the hosts and there looks a strong chance that just a couple of goals might be enough, just as they were in the Reds’ first two games against Ipswich and the Bees.

Manchester City vs Brentford (3pm)

Manchester City are one of just two Premier League teams to have won their opening three matches of the campaign and it would be a big surprise if they did not beat Brentford on Saturday.

However, that does not mean the Bees are sitting ducks on their trip to the Etihad and they have the ability to at least find the net.

Aston Villa vs Everton (5.30pm)

Villa should have more than enough quality to beat Everton, particularly after the Toffees' embarrassing collapse against Bournemouth.

While Villa should win, they have been exposed at the back in recent months. They have conceded in five consecutive games at home, letting in 11 goals during that time.

Bournemouth vs Chelsea (8pm)

Chelsea have a solid enough record against Bournemouth, but this Cherries' squad is the best yet assembled in the top division and they pose a threat to go with their self-belief, high;ighted in fightbacks at Nottingham Forest and Everton to earn a 1-1 draw and 3-2 win respectively.

Team spirit to go with quality against a Chelsea group yet to find consistency means the Bournemouth Draw No Bet options looks attractive.
