Premier League Matchday 23: Arsenal host leaders Liverpool

After an action-packed midweek round of Premier League fixtures, Matchday 23 promises to deliver more drama with all 20 teams featuring across the weekend.

Tottenham visit Everton to open proceedings, while Manchester United host West Ham before Arsenal take on Liverpool at an expectant Emirates Stadium.

Read on as we provide all the key stats and facts ahead of an exciting few days in the top flight.

Everton vs Tottenham (Saturday, 12.30pm, TNT Sports)

Tottenham travel to Goodison Park in good spirits having beaten Brentford in midweek and they will be buoyed further knowing they are unbeaten in their last 10 league matches at Everton.

The Toffees are a sturdy outfit under Sean Dyche and have kept more clean sheets (six) than any other team since December.

But they will be wary of their former striker coming back to haunt them. 

Richarlison has scored seven goals in as many games in the top flight and is looking to bag for the fourth consecutive match against his old club.

Brighton vs Crystal Palace (Saturday, 3pm)

Brighton's injury crisis is having an impact on their season and the Seagulls have not scored a league goal since the 4-2 win against Spurs in December despite registering 42 shots in January.

Roberto De Zerbi did coach his side to victory in the reverse fixture but Crystal Palace look rejuvenated with the return of Eberechi Eze and Michael Olise.

The latter has been directly involved in at least one goal in each of his last five top-flight appearances and could become the first Palace player to score or assist in six consecutive matches.

Burnley vs Fulham (Saturday, 3pm)

Burnley's home record against Fulham is surprisingly good considering the positions of both sides in the table.

The Clarets are unbeaten in their last 28 against the Cottagers at Turf Moor and could make it three wins in a row with victory against Marco Silva's men.

A win for Burnley would mark just their fourth of the season — only Sheffield United have won fewer than their promotion partners.

Newcastle vs Luton (Saturday, 3pm)

Aston Villa were stunned on Tuesday when Newcastle breezed past their opponents despite losing their only fit striker Alexander Isak during the match.

But their attention will quickly turn to Luton — a side they have not hosted in the league since 1992 under the management of Kevin Keegan.

Coming off the back of scoring the Hatters' first top-flight hat-trick since 1990, Elijah Adebayo will be keen to add to his six goals in seven appearances against the Magpies.

Sheffield United vs Aston Villa (Saturday, 5.30pm, Sky Sports)

Saturday's late kick-off sees rock-bottom Sheffield United host a Villa side who have fallen out of the top four for the first time since Matchday 12.

Bramall Lane has not been a happy hunting ground for the Villans and they have lost on each of their last three league visits.

Ollie Watkins continues to find the net under Unai Emery and has now netted 10 or more goals in each of his four seasons in the Premier League.

Bournemouth vs Nottingham Forest (Sunday, 2pm)

Bournemouth remain in touching distance of the top half and a win against Nottingham Forest could take them within three points of Chelsea in 10th.

Dominic Solanke was linked with a move away from the Cherries in the final days of the transfer window but will have his mind firmly focused on trying to replicate his hat-trick from the reverse fixture.

For the Tricky Trees, it is a case of trying to end their poor run of form that includes eight losses in 11 matches but their fortunes could change now Taiwo Awoniyi is back fit and among the goals.

Chelsea vs Wolves (Sunday, 2pm)

Wolves are looking to do the double over Chelsea for the first time since 1974-75 but face a tough task at Stamford Bridge where they have not won since 1979.

If they are to cause an upset, Portugal international Pedro Neto will need to be at his best. The 23-year-old has been involved in seven goals in his last seven appearances away from home.

Chelsea's Christopher Nkunku marked his return with a goal in the defeat to Liverpool during the week and his fitness will be key if the Blues are to mount a European challenge in the latter stages of the season.

Manchester United vs West Ham (Sunday, 2pm, Sky Sports)

The Old Trafford roof is not the only thing leaking in Manchester with Erik ten Hag's side conceding seven goals in their last three Premier League home games.

West Ham have gone under the radar this season and are in the mix for the Champions League places but the Hammers will do well to end United's unbeaten run of 15 matches against them at home.

The Red Devils boss says Marcus Rashford's recent disciplinary case is closed and the England international will be hoping to silence his critics yet again.

Arsenal vs Liverpool (Sunday, 4.30pm, Sky Sports)

Arsenal and Liverpool flexed their title credentials on Matchday 21 and the visitors must be at their best to triumph in the 200th league meeting between the two teams.

The Reds have scored in each of their last 16 clashes against the Gunners and handed them a 2-0 defeat in the FA Cup last month.

Diogo Jota averages a goal or assist every 41 minutes at the Emirates but his threat is equally matched by Gabriel Martinelli who has more goal contributions against the Reds (six) than any other top-flight club.

Brentford vs Manchester City (Monday, 8pm, Sky Sports)

To close things out, Monday Night Football returns as Ivan Toney looks to sting Manchester City's title aspirations under the lights in West London.

Brentford were the only team to do the league double over Pep Guardiola's side last season and are aiming to become the first team to ever win three in a row against the Spanish manager.

Erling Haaland returned in the win over Burnley on Wednesday and will join Harry Kane in scoring against every opponent he has faced in the Premier League should he net against the Bees.
