Pep claims Haaland will continue scoring goals until he retires
Pep Guardiola claims Erling Haaland will continue to "score goals all his life" after the Norwegian bagged a brace in Manchester City's 3-1 over Young Boys in the Champions League.
The holders were given a slight scare when the hosts tied the game at 1-1 early in the second half but Haaland found the net twice to all but guarantee City's place in the knockout stages.
Guardiola paid tribute to the elite goalscorer, saying: "It is important to have the chances, people expect him to score four goals every time, people want him to fail.
"This guy is going to score goals all his life with the chances, he is an incredible threat.
"Sometimes we miss the ability to find the pass or the tempo that we can with Kevin [De Bruyne] or Ilkay [Gundogan], these types of players are irreplaceable with the quality they have but all the games have chances.
"He is going to score until the last day he plays football."
Guardiola made several changes to the starting XI that beat Brighton at the weekend but his side were still able to get the job done in Switzerland.
He added: "It was an exceptional game, our positional game was really, really good.
"We lacked in the first half maybe the physicality of them, they were a little bit more aggressive in the one-on-one.
"But in general all of them were exceptional so I am really pleased with the way we played.
"We have one more to be mathematically qualified and then two more games after that to win the group."
City return to action on Sunday in a huge derby as they face Manchester United at Old Trafford for a mouthwatering Premier League clash.
