West Ham loanee Patrick Kelly popped up with his first Doncaster goal as they beat Barrow 1-0 in the first round of the FA Cup.

Luke Molyneux squandered a number of chances for the visitors at Holker Street.

Northern Irish youngster Kelly coolly slotted home from close range in the 83rd minute.

Molyneux saw an early effort chalked off for offside before Dean Campbell went close for the hosts as his strike flew wide of the mark.

Dangerous Molyneux hit a low free-kick into the side netting on the stroke of half-time before Wyll Stanway kept his header out after the restart.

Sam Foley forced a good save from Chelsea loanee Teddy Sharman-Lowe to tip his effort past the post before Neo Eccleston rattled the bar with a powerful strike.

Stanway produced a brilliant save to keep out Jordan Gibson’s thunderbolt.

But with the game destined for extra-time, Kelly turned home Harry Clifton’s pass to send Doncaster through late on.
