When and where is Super Bowl LVIII?

The 58th edition of the Super Bowl will take place at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas next Sunday, February 11.

It is the first time the 65,000-seater home of the Las Vegas Raiders will host the event having opened in 2020, with the average ticket set to cost a reported $10,000.

For those travelling to Sin City in Nevada, the contest will begin at 3.30pm local time and 11.30pm for those tuning in from the United Kingdom.

Who is playing in Super Bowl LVIII?

For the fourth time in five years and the sixth time overall, the Kansas City Chiefs are returning to the Super Bowl and will face the San Francisco 49ers in a rematch of the February 2020 showpiece.

Star quarterback Patrick Mahomes is looking to secure his third title while the Chiefs can become only the seventh franchise to lift the trophy four times but face a tough test against the five-time winners San Francisco.

Brock Purdy inspired the 49ers to a 12-5 record in the regular season to secure the No1 seed in the NFC before mounting comeback victories over the Green Bay Packers and Detroit Lions in the playoffs.

The Chiefs meanwhile slumped to 9-6 when they lost to AFC West rivals the Raiders on Christmas Day but have since won five games in a row and can become the first team to secure back-to-back Super Bowl triumphs since the New England Patriots in 2005, led by Tom Brady.

Tight end Travis Kelce has stolen the headlines with his appearances alongside pop sensation Taylor Swift this season and will aim to continue his fruitful relationship with Mahomes — the 34-year-old now holds the record for most postseason receptions in NFL history.

But the 49ers have a weapon of their own in running back Christian McCaffrey — no player has recorded more touchdowns in the 2023 season.

Who is performing the half-time show at Super Bowl LVIII?

The Super Bowl is famed for its half-time shows and some of the world's biggest stars have graced the stage in years gone by.
