Neymar has left Paris Saint-Germain for Al-Hilal — bringing an end to months of speculation about the Brazil superstar's future.

The 31-year-old's six-year spell in the French capital had turned sour, seeing both parties push for a move.

He had been linked with a switch to the Premier League but the Riyadh-based club have added him to the growing number of big names in the Saudi Pro League.

Read on to see how the move unfolded in recent days.

August 15: Neymar joins Al-Hilal

Al-Hilal confirmed Neymar has joined the club on a two-year deal.

Having won five Ligue 1 titles and scored 118 goals in 173 appearances for PSG, the former Barcelona man becomes the club's fifth major signing of the summer.

He joins Kalidou Koulibaly, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, Malcom and Ruben Neves.

August 14: Saudi move close

Neymar is set to become the latest high-profile name to move to the Saudi Pro League after Al-Hilal agreed a deal with PSG.

The Brazilian trickster is due to undergo a medical ahead of travelling to the Middle East later this week to sign a two-year deal with the 18-time champions.

Al-Hilal will pay around £86million for the Samba star, according to Fabrizio Romano.

August 13: Saudi offer

RMC Sport claim PSG have accepted a mega-money bid from Saudi Arabian outfit Al-Hilal for Neymar.

Talks are reportedly underway to see if a deal can be struck with his representatives.

Barcelona are plotting a sensational move to re-sign Neymar on loan with an option to buy.

According to The Independent, returning to the Nou Camp is the Brazilian star's primary objective and club chiefs think they can make it happen, even with their well-known financial issues.

Neymar left Barcelona in 2017 to join PSG for a world-record fee of £200million.

August 8: Poch reunion

Neymar could be set for a reunion with former PSG boss Mauricio Pochettino as Chelsea weigh up a bid.

After making it clear he wishes to leave the French capital, The Guardian report the Blues may move for their long-time target in the coming weeks.

His preferred destination is still Barcelona but the 124-cap international may consider other options if a return to Spain is not possible.
