Poch rues Chelsea's missed chances in defeat at Wolves
Mauricio Pochettino rued more missed chances as his wasteful Chelsea side lost 2-1 at Wolves.
Goals from Mario Lemina and Matt Doherty put the hosts ahead before Christopher Nkunku netted a late consolation.
But it was the Blues' missed opportunities that will make the headlines, not least Raheem Sterling's failure to play a simple square ball to Cole Palmer when clean through in the first half, instead shooting straight at Jose Sa.
And Pochettino believes there is not a simple cure to his side's woes in front of goal.
The Chelsea boss told Sky Sports: "We are talking a lot from the beginning about how this group of players is very young.
"They are young in age and it is their first time in the Premier League. They need to feel the adaptation and, of course, it's about confidence.
"It's also about quality. It's about many things.
"We should score if we want to win the games and now it's difficult because after the game we feel very disappointed.
"We need to learn from these types of games."
It was a better afternoon for Wolves, however, who have now beaten Manchester City, Tottenham and Chelsea at Molineux this season.
And their second goalscorer Doherty believes his side have the knack for picking up big results.
He said: "Ever since we came back to the Premier League, our record against the top six teams is quite good.
"I know we've beaten most of the big teams here and away from home at times.
"I think the atmosphere that's generated around the stadium is good. Everybody feels comfortable here."
Wanderers' other hero Lemina dedicated the victory to his father, who is ill.
He said: "My dad has been in hospital for two months and he's struggling a lot.
"My family are around him now and I wanted to be around him but I need to do my work.
"Dad, keep pushing."
