Mauricio Pochettino admits that Chelsea's situation is "not good enough" after a damaging 4-2 home loss to Wolves.

Cole Palmer gave the Blues the lead at Stamford Bridge but a Matheus Cunha hat-trick and an Axel Disasi own goal ensured the pressure continues to pile on Pochettino.

The former Tottenham and Paris Saint-Germain boss conceded after the game that the performance of his players and his as a manager are both not up to standard.

He said: "I think we are all not good enough. At the moment this is the reality.

"Myself, also. What we are showing today is we are not good enough."

The Argentinian even went on to acknowledge that his side do not live up to Chelsea teams in the past.

"We didn't manage the situation properly. No-one can be safe, no?

"I don't want to come here and say I'm the best.

"At the moment, we are not matching the history of the club, that is true.

"We need to accept and be critical. We will not give up."

Chelsea were booed off by home fans at full-time after another loss condemns them to the bottom half of the table.

The Blues currently sit on the same points as they did at this stage last season under Graham Potter, who was sacked six games later.

Pochettino's side need to turnaround their form to be in contention for Europe next season.

However, they do have a Carabao Cup final against Liverpool at the end of the month which could ease some of the pressure.
