Marc Skinner says Manchester United were "not good enough" as they were held to a 1-1 draw with Leicester on Sunday.

Aileen Whelan gave the visitors a shock lead on the hour mark of the Women's Super League match before Maya Le Tissier levelled the scores seven minutes later.

But Skinner was frustrated by his side's inability to turn one point into three.

He said: "In the build-up, we could have been quicker.

"There was no complacency from the players at all but if we defend like that we're going to concede goals.

"We need to be more ruthless. We've been that all season but you can't dip your standards in this league.

"There are chances in that game we have to bury. It's nothing too big because if you're not creating the chances that's different.

"But if you're in a shooting position, shoot. That's where our girls have to grow."

Defender Gabby George was substituted after just nine minutes of the match and Skinner confirmed she is likely to be set for a spell on the sidelines.

He said: "I wouldn't imagine it looks good.

"Obviously we will look after Gabby and make sure she's comfortable. Once we find out everybody will know but it didn't look like a good one."

United travel to Paris for their Champions League second leg tie on Wednesday before a trip to Everton in the WSL next Sunday.

They are still unbeaten in the league with five points from their first three games.
