Man Utd celebrate iconic Red Devil with 2023-24 third kit
Manchester United have released their third kit for the 2023-24 season, which celebrates the club's famous Red Devil identity.
Kit makers adidas have taken inspiration from the 1909 FA Cup-winning team and produced a shirt focusing on football and streetwear in equal measure.
The third jersey will feature the iconic Red Devil badge, which stands out on the cloud white base, for the first time in over 50 years.
It is a sleek design — made from 100% recycled materials — that is complemented by the classic adidas three stripes in white, as well as a red ribbed crew neck collar.
Former United captain Roy Keane has created a short film to accompany the launch of the kit.
In his 12 years with the Red Devils, the Irishman won 17 trophies — including seven Premier League titles and the Champions League.
Inigo Turner, design director for adidas football apparel, said: "With a history steeped in success, we have many Manchester United kits to take inspiration from.
"For this season's third kit, the 1909 jersey was the catalyst for that inspiration, which also provided the perfect backdrop to amplify the club's famous identity, the Red Devil.
"This design is intentionally understated, taking its cues from present-day streetwear trends, with its cloud white background carefully chosen to let the Red Devil shine and inspire fire on the pitch.
"We know the importance of this identity to the Manchester United fanbase and we're proud to give fans a design that is just as much at home on the streets as it is on the pitch."
United will debut the kit in Erik ten Hag's second season as manager, with the Dutchman looking to build on last term's third-place finish in the Premier League and Carabao Cup success.
The Red Devils have been busy in the transfer market this summer, adding Mason Mount, Andre Onana and Rasmus Hojlund to their already talented squad.
Bruno Fernandes has also been appointed permanent captain after the out-of-favour Harry Maguire was stripped of the armband by Ten Hag.
The new kit will be available to purchase via Manchester United stores, selected retail stores and online.
