Khiara Keating has scooped her first Women's Super League Player of the Month award after an impressive February with Manchester City.

The England youth international kept four clean sheets in all competitions as City's relentless pursuit of three trophies continued.

And boss Gareth Taylor made it a double celebration for his side by collecting the Manager of the Month gong.

Speaking to City's official website, 19-year-old Keating said: "February was a brilliant month for us, so winning this award feels like the icing on the cake.

"I'm feeling really good at the moment. We're taking things game by game, week by week, so winning both our [league] games in February has taken us another step in the right direction.

"I am grateful to everyone who voted. Hopefully we can continue our strong form until the end of the season."

City are level on points with WSL leaders Chelsea heading into Matchday 15 following their 1-0 victory over Emma Hayes' Blues before the international break.

And Taylor, who also guided his side to victories over Leicester in the league, Spurs in the Conti Cup and Tottenham in the FA Cup, was delighted to pick up his first award of the season.

He said: "I'm really pleased to win this after another great month for the team. It's been a collective effort from everyone on and off the pitch.

"Going all the way unbeaten from November to now is an incredible effort from everyone involved with the team and we're looking forward to the challenges ahead in all competitions."

Title-chasing City host WSL rivals Everton at the Joie Stadium on Saturday.
