Lincoln stretched their winless League One run to six games as they were held to a drab 0-0 draw at home to Charlton.

At a blustery LNER Stadium, chances were very much at a premium as both sides cancelled each other out, locked in stalemate, with the points ultimately shared after just one shot on target the whole match.

It took 21 minutes for the first decent chance to be created when Jack Moylan’s drive into the Charlton box ended with him shooting low at goal, but Ashley Maynard-Brewer was equal to his effort.

Tyrese Campbell, Karoy Anderson and Greg Docherty all fired off target for the Addicks in a first half short on quality.

As the wind picked up, so both sides struggled to find any cohesion in their play, leading to a long bout of mediocrity where both keepers were virtual bystanders, before Addicks sub Allan Campbell eventually had the first shot at goal in the second half, sliding in to meet Tyrese Campbell’s cross, but poking it wide after 78 minutes.

City’s Jovon Makama then created a chance for sub Bailey Cadamarteri, but a defender got in first to clear, and that was as close as the Imps came to finding a winner.
