After a frustrating 1-0 defeat at the hands of Millwall on Wednesday night, Leeds United will look to get their promotion push back on track when they host Queens Park Rangers at Elland Road on Saturday.

Daniel Farke’s side had 75% possession, 12 corners and five blocked shots and still could not get on the scoresheet at The Den in midweek.

Bringing to an end an eight-game unbeaten run in the Championship, Leeds will need to move on quickly from their defeat to the Lions when they host QPR this weekend.

The R’s have had a tough run of fixtures of late, drawing with Burnley and Sunderland, while losing to Middlesbrough in their last three games.

Now without a win in their last 10 Championship games since a 2-1 win at Luton Town back on August 30, the R’s will be up against it when they head to Elland Road on Saturday.

Team news

Leeds remain without their central midfield partnership of skipper Ethan Ampadu and Ilia Gruev due to knee injuries.

Farke has hinted Ampadu is ahead of schedule in his recovery, although the Wales international is still expected to be out of action until around the Christmas period.

Largie Ramazani is the only other absentee, with the winger still recovering from an ankle injury.

QPR defenders Harrison Ashby and Kenneth Paal are expected to miss the trip to West Yorkshire with hamstring and thigh injuries.

Meanwhile, the game is also likely to come too soon for midfielder Jack Colback and forward Michael Frey as they recover from their leg and calf issues.

The stats

Leeds have a strong home record in the Championship this season, losing just one of their seven games at Elland Road.

The Whites are on a four-game winning streak at home, conceding just one goal in that spell.

QPR are winless in their last 10 Championship games and currently occupy 23rd place in the standings.

Prediction

QPR might well find themselves on the end of a Leeds backlash after the Whites' defeat at Millwall in midweek.

Leeds have been in free-scoring form at home of late, scoring 10 goals in their last four games at Elland Road.

Putting three goals past the likes of Portsmouth, Coventry City and Plymouth Argyle at home already this season, Farke’s side are good value to score over 2.5 goals against a QPR side that have already conceded 23 goals in the Championship this term.
