Jurgen Klopp hailed Liverpool's academy talents after the Europa League victory over Toulouse.

The Reds ran out comfortable 5-1 winners at Anfield with 19-year-old defender Luke Chambers handed his full debut.

Diogo Jota, Wataru Endo, Darwin Nunez, Ryan Gravenberch and Mohamed Salah all got themselves on the scoresheet on a night when some of the Merseysiders' lesser names were also granted minutes from the bench.

Teenage duo Calum Scanlon and James McConnell were second-half substitutes as Klopp's men continued their perfect start in Group E.

The German boss said: "We could bring the kids on.

"We thought the boys really needed that now. I can tell them how much I like them but then from time to time, we have to show it.

"In good moments, you can give the boys opportunities.

"They all took it. We have a lot of good boys and we trust them.

"You saw in the moments where it was difficult.

"Most of the time we were in complete control. We made good goals, nobody got hurt, perfect night."

After playing 67 minutes, Chambers said: "I've dreamt of this moment since I was six.

"To top it off with a win as well, I'm lost for words.

"I found out yesterday and had a bit of time with family at night. The reality hit."

The Lancastrian also highlighted the influence of fellow full-back Trent Alexander-Arnold, saying: "Trent's done what I aspire to do.

"Watching Trent do it gives us academy lads a stepping stone to go and recreate it.

"I couldn't ask for someone better to look up to."

Liverpool will be in action at Anfield again on Sunday, when they host Nottingham Forest in the Premier League.
