Harry Kane says he is feeling at home at Bayern Munich after scoring his 18th Bundesliga goal of the season.

Bayern dominated their Friday night clash at FC Cologne but had only Kane's 20th-minute strike to show for their efforts.

Ex-Tottenham forward Kane, 30, became the first player to net 18 goals from his first 12 matches in the German top flight.

The England captain said: "I'm feeling good. I feel at home here.

"Everyone's welcomed me really well from the players, the staff, the club, the fans and I just want to repay them every time I step out on to the pitch.

"We've got fantastic players around me who are creating chances for me, so I've just got to make sure I'm in the right place at the right time.

"I feel good going into every game. I know I'm going to get chances going into the game.

"I've had some good moments in my career and good spells but this is definitely one of the best."

In all competitions, Kane has hit 22 goals in 17 appearances since his £86.4million arrival in August.

Thanks to his winner at the RheinEnergieStadion, he also became the first Englishman to reach 18 goals in a single Bundesliga campaign.

He added: "It was a really good game for us today.

"Some people look at the result and might have expected a little more.

"But it was a fantastic game from everyone. We could have scored three goals in the first half alone.

"The result was the most important thing. They [Cologne] played a few long balls in the second half but we defended those too.

"It never looked dangerous, which is a good sign."

Three points take Thomas Tuchel's side top of the table before Bayer Leverkusen's trip to Werder Bremen on Saturday.

Leverkusen will reclaim first position with a victory of their own.

Bayern return to action on Wednesday when they host FC Copenhagen in the Champions League.

The reigning Bundesliga champions have already booked their place in the last 16 with two games remaining in Group A.

Their next league match comes when they welcome lowly Union Berlin to the Allianz Arena on December 2.
