RLC reveals Chelsea frustration
Ruben Loftus-Cheek admits the way he was being used by Chelsea triggered his switch to AC Milan.
The England midfielder, 27, called time on nearly two decades with the Blues late last month.
And he has pointed to a lack of game time as the main reason for his departure.
Loftus-Cheek, who scored seven goals in 155 appearances for his boyhood club, said: "I love the club and the fans but I wasn't feeling content with the amount I was playing and the positions I was playing in,
"I felt I had more to give but I wasn't getting the opportunity.
"I feel good physically and am playing some really good football. It was a good time to move on."
With Loftus-Cheek, Fikayo Tomori and Olivier Giroud all switching from Chelsea to Milan in recent years, Christian Pulisic is expected to be the fourth player to make the move.
American star Pulisic, 24, is seemingly surplus to requirements at Stamford Bridge and Loftus-Cheek cannot wait to see his old team-mate in Serie A.
He added: "He has huge talent. He is dynamic, quick and can score goals.
"In the lockdown period, under Frank Lampard, he was incredible. If he can reproduce that again, he would be a top addition to the team."
Mini me
England star Beth Mead has become the first women's player to be immortalised as a 'big head' football collectable.
McDonald's revealed the nostalgic figurine at the National Football Museum in Manchester, where Mead's likeness was placed into a special exhibition celebrating the world of toys in football.
The Arsenal star, 28, said: "It's incredible to see a mini me in the National Football Museum.
"It is truly amazing to be the first ever women's player to have their own 'big head'.
"It feels really special for this figurine to be joining football memorabilia through the ages and hopefully this is just the start of seeing more football collectables from the women's game.
"I can't wait to get my figurine into the hands of fans across the country in time for the World Cup."
Phillips opens up
Kalvin Phillips has opened up about his struggles during a difficult first season with Manchester City.
The England midfielder, 27, made just 21 appearances for City last term after switching from Leeds, with just two Premier League starts for the Treble winners.
Speaking to Sky Sports News, he said: "The only time I've felt down about the situation was when City played Leicester and I came on for about half-hour but was rubbish
"I can remember going home and I was so upset with myself that I started crying.
"My first season at City was always going to be difficult, especially when you're injured as well.
"Even when I was on the bench, you're trying to understand the way Pep [Guardiola] wanted us to play and just try to take in as much information as possible.
"I finally got to play a few games towards the end of the season, which was very nice, and I was just happy to be involved in such a great team and go on the run we did."
Dreaming of Chelsea
Brighton star Moises Caicedo has made it clear he will be unable to reject a move to Chelsea this summer.
Speaking to Ecuadorian outlet El Universo, the midfielder, 21, said: "Chelsea is a great team. It's a historic team.
"I can't say I don't [like it] because it's a very big, historic and beautiful club. [London] is also very beautiful.
"What youngster would not like that many clubs are talking about him?
"It is something that I know how to handle very well, that I do not get carried away by emotions, that I try to be calm, enjoying with my family, which is the most important thing now.
"I know it's also pressure, let's say, but I'm calm, I'm waiting for what God decides, because he knows what's best for me."
Play on
Kazuyoshi Miura, the world's oldest pro footballer at 56, has extended his stay with Portuguese second-tier side Oliveirense.
The ex-Japan striker joined Oliveirense on loan in January from Yokohama and will continue on that basis for an undisclosed duration.
Yokohama and Oliveirense have the same Japanese owners.
We can win it
Ben Foster is confident Wrexham can take League Two by storm and win the title next season.
The ex-England keeper came out of retirement last term to help the Red Dragons win promotion from the National League.
And he is relishing the new campaign after signing a one-year contract extension with the Welsh club co-owned by Hollywood stars Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney.
Foster, 40, said: "You can say that we want to finish in the top half, top six or top two but I don't think we're going to look at it like that.
"We want to go and win every single game and I feel we've got a good enough team to go and win this league, genuinely.
"There's no divine right to win or to be in the top six, it doesn't work like that.
"It doesn't matter what your name is, you've got to put the work in and put the graft in and all the bits and bobs behind the scene."
