After a busy international break, domestic football will once again take centre stage across Europe's big leagues this weekend and there will be plenty of players hoping to get on the scoresheet.

We have picked out five potential goalscorers to follow from across Saturday and Sunday's action in the Premier League, LaLiga, Serie A, the Bundesliga and Ligue 1.

Sunday's sole offering from the Premier League could prove an entertaining one, as both Aston Villa and West Ham have made strong starts to the season, with Villa forward Ollie Watkins catching the eye.

Watkins has scored four goals across his last three league appearances, including a hat-trick in Villa's 6-1 demolition of Brighton, while he also netted the winning goal for England against Australia during the international break.

The 27-year-old was also on the scoresheet the last time these two sides met – a 1-1 draw at the London Stadium in March – and he looks well placed to notch against the Hammers once again.

Mikel Oyarzabal has scored five goals across his last five appearances for Real Sociedad and the club's captain can add to that tally when they host Mallorca on Saturday.

The 26-year-old has also scored three goals in his last two home appearances for Imanol Alguacil's side, while his confidence should be high after featuring twice for Spain during the international break.

Only two teams have conceded more goals in LaLiga this season than Mallorca and the visitors may have trouble containing an in-form Oyarzabal at the Reale Arena.

Romelu Lukaku has certainly not taken long to find his feet at Roma, with the Belgium international having scored a staggering 11 goals across his last 10 appearances for club and country.

That run includes four goals in his last three outings for Roma, who as a team are averaging over two goals-per-game in Serie A this season – only Inter Milan have scored more.

Lukaku will be hopeful of adding to his and Roma's tally when Monza visit the Stadio Olimpico on Sunday. The visitors are generally strong defensively, but they shipped three when visiting the Giallorossi last season and may struggle to contain their free-scoring hosts.

Bayern Munich will expect to score plenty of goals when they visit Mainz in the Bundesliga on Saturday, as the hosts are yet to win this season and no team has conceded more goals in the division.

Harry Kane will certainly be licking his lips at the prospect of playing at the Mewa Arena, as will Leroy Sane, who has netted six goals in seven Bundesliga appearances to date this term, including notching in three league matches on the spin.

Sane was also a scorer at Mainz in the DFB-Pokal last season and he can once again torment Bo Svensson's side this weekend.

Monaco lead the way in Ligue 1 this season in terms of points and goals, with summer signing Folarin Balogun playing a major role, as he has netted in three of his last four appearances for the club.

Balogun was also on the scoresheet for the United States during the international break and he will fancy his chances of netting against a Metz team who have lost their last three matches in Ligue 1.
