It is the final weekend of 2023 and there are some fascinating fixtures to look forward to in the Premier League and Serie A.

We have picked out five goalscorers to watch out for from across Saturday and Sunday's top-flight action in England and Italy.

Back Michael Olise to score at anytime @ 7/2

Michael Olise missed the first three months of the Premier League season due to injury but the classy Crystal Palace winger is making up for lost time now.

Olise has scored three goals in his first six starts of the campaign and his latest strike was a slick finish against Chelsea on Wednesday, when he had six shots in the 2-1 defeat at Stamford Bridge.

The Frenchman coolly converted a late penalty in the Eagles' 2-2 draw at Manchester City and he should be backed to find the net against Brentford, whose depleted defence conceded four goals at home to Wolves in midweek.

Back Matheus Cunha to score at anytime @ 2/1

Wolves striker Matheus Cunha was not among the scorers in Wednesday's 4-1 win at Brentford but he had found the net in three of his previous six league appearances.

The Brazilian has posed a consistent threat to opposition defences this season, racking up five attempts at goal in Wanderers' opening game against Manchester United at Old Trafford.

Since October's international break, Cunha has had 32 shots in 11 games and he should fancy his chances of adding to his goal tally against Everton, who had a gruelling 3-1 home defeat to Manchester City on Wednesday.

Back Martin Odegaard to score at anytime @ 13/5

Thursday's 2-0 home defeat to West Ham meant Arsenal missed the chance to return to the top of the Premier League, but the Gunners could take out their frustration on Fulham at Craven Cottage on Sunday.

Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard had three of their 30 shots against the Hammers, forcing goalkeeper Alphonse Areola into one smart save, and he has had 12 attempts at goal in his last four outings.

Odegaard, one of the Gunners' main penalty-takers, has scored 19 league goals since the start of last season and he found the net in both meetings with Fulham in 2022-23.

Back Armand Lauriente to score at anytime @ 5/1

Sassuolo have scored 25 goals in 17 Serie A matches, just one fewer than title-chasing Juventus, and winger Armand Lauriente could cause problems for the AC Milan defence on Saturday.

Lauriente scored with one of his five shots in September's 4-2 home win over Juve and managed four attempts at goal in an 18-minute substitute appearance against Salernitana last month.

He has been lively in Sassuolo's last three games, having eight shots and contributing two assists, and he looks a big price to find the net at San Siro.

Back Romelu Lukaku to score first @ 6/1

Roma's Romelu Lukaku has scored in back-to-back league matches

Roma beat Napoli 2-0 in their final Serie A game before Christmas, with Romelu Lukaku scoring the second goal, and they are aiming to sign off from 2023 with a victory at Juventus.

Lukaku has scored in his last two league matches, taking his tally for the season to eight goals in 13 starts, and he has also struck five times in 497 minutes in the Europa League.

The Belgium striker helped himself to four goals in last month's Euro 2024 qualifier against Azerbaijan and the rejuvenated Roma man is worth backing to open the scoring against Juventus, who have kept only one clean sheet in their last six Serie A matches.
