Fantasy managers were treated to another weekend feast as the Premier League provided more thrilling drama in Gameweek 13.

Aston Villa bounced back with a bang following Steven Gerrard's departure but Arsenal could not overcome a resilient Southampton at St Mary's.

It was a memorable weekend for the league's bottom-half clubs, with Leicester's Timothy Castagne, Everton's Alex Iwobi and Nottingham Forest's Dean Henderson all scoring over 10 points.

We take a look at the best and worst performers from the latest round of fixtures.

Gameweek 13 top performers

Leon Bailey (Aston Villa)

The Villans responded to the dismissal of Gerrard in the best way possible, by winning just their third league game of the season.

And Leon Bailey was at the heart of his side's 4-0 win over Brentford — he popped up with a goal and an assist to secure 13 points, his highest total this season.

With the 25-year-old finally looking back to his best, he could be one to use your free transfer on as Villa travel to Newcastle in Gameweek 14.

Alex Iwobi (Everton)

Alex Iwobi's upturn in form under boss Frank Lampard has made him a consistent performer for Everton and his display against Crystal Palace was exemplary.

A 12-point haul for the Nigerian is his season best and for an attack-minded player who costs just £5.5million, he is appearing to be a bargain buy for budget players.

The Toffees will try and follow up their 3-0 win at the weekend with another impressive performance at Fulham in GW14 and Iwobi will have to be in top form if they are to come away with anything.

Dean Henderson (Nottingham Forest)

Henderson has shown glimpses of his talent since making a season-long loan switch from Manchester United and his performance against Liverpool on Saturday lunchtime was of the highest standard.

Forest came away 1-0 winners and Henderson racked up 11 points after making an incredible save from Virgil van Dijk's header in the dying moments of the game.

The victory will have given a boost to the Midlands side but they face a trip to Arsenal in GW14 as the leaders host the league's bottom side.

Gameweek 13 worst performers

Bukayo Saka (Arsenal)

It is rare that Arsenal drop points these days but they could not see off a stubborn Southampton defence as they shared the spoils for the first time this season.

Bukayo Saka picked up just a single point having scored 24 across the last two weeks and the 15% of players who selected him will be considering his position after his tired performance in the 1-1 draw.

Arsenal host Forest in GW14, but with the Gunners playing twice a week, we are at risk of seeing some rotation in the run-in to the World Cup.

Ivan Perisic (Tottenham)

With nearly 25% of players selecting the veteran full-back Ivan Perisic, it will have come as a shock to see him start the game on the bench in Tottenham's 2-1 loss to Newcastle.

The former Inter Milan player made a cameo as Spurs chased the game, but the 33-year-old failed to make an impact as the North Londoners fell to their first home defeat of the season.

After securing only one point, Perisic will be determined to put on a better display against an unpredictable Bournemouth in GW14.

Jose Sa (Wolves)

For the first time in the 2022-23 campaign, Jose Sa did not score a single fantasy point as Wolves suffered a humbling 4-0 home defeat to Leicester.

A budget goalkeeper is bound to have bad games, but not many will have expected Sa to concede four at home to the faltering Foxes.

Wolves travel to Brentford on Saturday in what is a must-win game for a side that have now lost five of their last six fixtures.
