I'm absolutely loving the twists and turns at the top of the Premier League this season — there's never a dull moment!

Check out which five players make up my star performers of Matchday 12.

Ben Davies (Tottenham)

Tottenham may have come unstuck late on at Wolves but I thought Ben Davies put in an admirable performance in their depleted backline.

It's difficult to come in when you haven't played regularly. He's been injured himself, so this is probably the first time he's trained solidly in a few weeks.

The Welshman has not featured as much as he'd like and Spurs are playing a different style now under Ange Postecoglou but I thought him and Eric Dier coped brilliantly overall.

Davies still embraced his manager's desired style of defending but did so with his own attributes and strengths in mind, which is really impressive.

Pablo Sarabia (Wolves)

Speaking to Gary O'Neil after the game, he said if he could pick any member of his squad to get the chance for Wolves' equaliser, he would pick Pablo Sarabia every time.

With the greatest respect to Pablo, if a more glamorous name scores that goal, we'd be seeing replays of it for years to come — the technique was outstanding.

I don't even think the pass was meant for him but the way he absorbed it with his first touch, then heightened his focus to strike the volley was quite special.

He's clearly got an elite mentality from the clubs he's represented previously and the impact he made in the game should give him huge confidence going forward.

Dominic Solanke (Bournemouth)

Bournemouth boss Andoni Iraola was full of praise for Dominic Solanke after his brace downed Newcastle — and it's little wonder.

He seems to have found a home on the South Coast. His relationship with the fans is strong and they understand his contribution to the team is far more than just goals.

There was a lot of hype and expectation around Dom as a youngster but it's taken time to show his best at Premier League level, which he is now doing consistently.

Feeling settled and knowing you have plenty of support around you is crucial in that regard and I think his career is now on a really strong trajectory.

Mohamed Salah (Liverpool)

It may sound ridiculous to say but Liverpool have almost gone under the radar in creeping into second.

Someone else who doesn't get the credit they deserve is Mohamed Salah, who delivered the goods like he always does with two against Brentford.

I don't think there's anyone who can hold a candle to Salah in terms of availability and how consistently he brings his very highest level to the table — it's hugely taken for granted.

He deserves credit for the condition he keeps himself in and who would write off the Egyptian firing Liverpool into title contention once again?

Cole Palmer (Chelsea)

I have to include Cole Palmer after another eye-catching performance for Chelsea in their bonkers 4-4 draw with his old club Manchester City.

His post-match interviews get as much attention as his performances. But knowing Cole, that's just the way he is. What you see is what you get.

He's got a very simple process and mindset on the pitch. You can't expect him to be so ice-cool when hitting that penalty, then be really upbeat and chatty in his interview!

Cole is just a young lad who loves football. He'd play every day if he could and he's so dedicated to his craft — it makes him a joy to work with and to watch.
