Premier League champions Manchester City were back at their brilliant best on Saturday, while Manchester United nicked a precious late win at Fulham.

With Tottenham and Chelsea's clash still to come this evening, I've picked out my five star performers from Matchday 11 so far.

Bruno Fernandes (Manchester United)

Bruno Fernandes has had his attitude questioned in recent weeks but nobody can doubt his will to win. His late goal against Fulham was an epitome of that.

He does have traits that would frustrate some — you can understand why players get annoyed in this United side at times!

From my experience, winning teams need to have extremely talented individuals but it's more important to have players who produce their highest level consistently.

Fernandes' output is really reliable and that's why he remains key to United's hopes of competing for trophies and titles again.

Jeremy Doku (Manchester City)

With regards to his age, his efficiency and his ability to get supporters off their seats, I don't think we've seen anything like Jeremy Doku for many years.

One goal and four assists is an outstanding return and shows that even though he likes to entertain, the 21-year-old Belgian's decision-making is also top class.

There's no showboating for the sake of it, everything is done with a purpose and although he didn't always get a positive outcome, the initial decision was always the right one.

I think Vincent Kompany made City aware of him with the Anderlecht connection and what a shrewd bit of business it's proving to be.

Vitaliy Mykolenko (Everton)

Everton will have been disappointed not to see out the win against Brighton but it was another encouraging performance from Sean Dyche's men.

Star of the show for me was Vitaliy Mykolenko — someone who has bounced back incredibly well after being criticised and even losing his place in the side at one point.

Seeing players who weren't natural left-backs play over him must've been tough, yet he's responded really well and Dyche has obviously seen that to bring him back in.

Given all that is going on in his homeland, the Ukraine international is doing himself and his family proud.

Jamaal Lascelles (Newcastle)

I've been so impressed with the way Jamaal Lascelles has taken his chance back in the Newcastle side.

He was a rock in the 1-0 win over Arsenal — but would he have got back into the Toon side if it wasn't for their injuries? Probably not.

It's testament to Jamaal's character. You're effectively keeping yourself prepared for an opportunity which may never come, which some players don't have the mindset for.

He's been through a lot of transition while at Newcastle, some tough moments and has remained a leadership figure throughout, so it's nice he gets to enjoy some success now.

Chiedozie Ogbene (Luton)

Luton would've been gutted to come so close to a famous victory over Liverpool but it was a great performance from Rob Edwards' men.

There was a tactical tweak on Sunday which saw Chiedozie Ogbene become the Hatters' outlet and not really have to track back as much — a bold move which paid off.

The Ireland international really stood out for me, driving the hosts forward with his direct play and he really ran himself into the ground.

I'm sure the plaudits he received will give him a huge boost of confidence as he looks to show the world that he can be a top Premier League player.
