Arsenal draw Sporting as United collide with Betis in Europa League last 16

Arsenal will face Sporting in the Europa League last 16, while Manchester United are going up against Real Betis.

Mikel Arteta's Gunners finished top of their group and went into today's draw as one of eight seeded teams and are rewarded with a trip to Lisbon.

United, meanwhile, earned a massive victory over Barcelona in their knockout round play-off and will be brimming with confidence heading into the last 16.

Italian giants Roma and Juventus will face Real Sociedad and Freiburg respectively, while six-time winners Sevilla are up against Fenerbahce.

Ferencvaros — aiming to reach the final in hometown Budapest — face a tricky test against Bayer Leverkusen, Shakhtar Donetsk will take on Feyenoord and Union Berlin's clash with Union Saint-Gilloise rounds out the draw.

The first leg for all ties will be played Thursday, March 9 with the return fixtures held Thursday, March 16.
