Erling Haaland insists he is happy at Manchester City but refused to comment on a possible contract extension beyond 2027.

The striker has scored 80 goals in 84 appearances since signing for City in 2022 and reports continue to link him with a switch to Real Madrid in the next few years.

He has moved to allay those fears, claiming life is good in England.

He said: "I am really happy, especially with the people I am surrounded with.

"The manager, the directors, the board, they are a group of amazing people.

"You never know what the future brings but I am happy."

It has been claimed City would like to tie Haaland down to a new deal to ward off interest from elsewhere but their No9 was not drawn on the subject.

He added: "I am focused on the pitch.

"There are a lot of games. I think I should focus on that."

While his goalscoring speaks for itself, Haaland believes there are areas of his game that can still be improved.

But ahead of his side's Champions League last-16 second leg with FC Copenhagen tomorrow night, he is keen to focus on boss Pep Guardiola's advice rather than anybody else's.

He said: "I do what he [Guardiola] says. I try to get involved when I should.

"There are a lot of things I can get better at. People say I am good at scoring goals but I missed the biggest chance ever two days ago so I can become better at that.

"I think we are doing pretty good as a team. That is my main focus of course. I have missed a lot of chances and I will probably miss a big chance in the future when people will criticise me.

"Should I think about that? No."
