Bissell raring to go after signing two-year deal with Everton
Emma Bissell is relishing being back in the Women's Super League after joining Everton following a two-year stint in the United States.
The Manchester City academy graduate, 21, earned WSL experience with Bristol City prior to her switch Stateside, where she played for college side Florida State Seminoles.
And Bissell cannot wait to get going after impressing Toffees boss Brian Sorensen to earn a two-year deal.
Speaking to evertontv, she said: "It's amazing to be here. I'm looking forward to being back in the WSL and testing myself against some of the top players and top teams in the country.
"Each team I've been at, I've learned and added different aspects to my game.
"I really think that's benefitted me and I'm looking forward to bringing that back into the WSL and for Everton.
"I think this club is a great fit for me and how I like to play. It's a very possession-orientated team and I'm looking forward to playing my part in it."
Bissell admits the opportunity to work with Sorensen, who led Everton to sixth in the table last season, was too good to turn down.
She said: "I've had some really good, positive conversations with Brian. One of the main things that drew me to Everton was how he likes to play and how he structures his team.
"I'm really looking forward to working with Brian and with the rest of the team."
Sorensen added: "She's super mobile, you can see with her body language and her eyes that she's really hungry and eager to learn.
"Emma is a quality player who we were keen to get on board. She's technically gifted, can beat players with her touch and she can finish.
"She can play offensive midfielder, where I imagine she sees herself the most, but she is capable of playing in a wider role as well.
"Emma has everything to take on her game and become an even better player. I'm grateful we could agree this deal and I'm sure she will make a big impact with us this season."
