Toone revels in 'amazing' WSL title race after Spurs demolition
Ella Toone hailed the "amazing" Women's Super League after Manchester United's 4-0 win over Tottenham.
The England star scored her side's second goal of the evening when she lifted the ball over goalkeeper Rebecca Spencer in the 51st minute.
United's victory means the Red Devils are four points behind leaders Chelsea, who were stunned 4-1 by Arsenal this afternoon..
Toone, 24, said: "Yeah a massive game in the league today, some big results.
"We watched the game [Arsenal 4-1 Chelsea] earlier, the table is amazing at the moment, any team can take points off another team. It's nice to be a part of."
Toone scored her second goal of the WSL season with a composed chip just after the break.
She added: "I like scoring chips apparently.
"I saw the keeper coming out and just tried to lift the ball over her, and luckily it went in the back of the net.
"It's always nice to get on the scoresheet."
Marc Skinner was understandably delighted with the performance.
He said: "We got the result and showed our quality.
"I think we dominated the game, the stats are slightly skewed in this game — their shots were speculative from far.
"We dominated them, we moved them around, we created plenty of opportunities ourselves, which we finished off four times, and I think we should have had a penalty too.
"That was a dominant performance from us, as dominant as you are going to get aside from a 6-0 or a 7-0."
