Ella Toone is ready for Manchester United's crucial matches against Leicester and Liverpool after launching her ET7 brand.

The playmaker is the first Lioness to trademark her name and is looking to create her own football academy next year.

Toone, 24, has grown into a household name thanks to her exploits with England and United — and she is looking to end the year positively with her club.

The Red Devils host Leicester in the Conti Cup tonight and tackle Liverpool in a Women's Super League showdown on Sunday.

Toone told LiveScore: "These are really important games.

"We want to finish 2023 strongly and make sure we're ready to go in 2024.

"We want do well in the Conti Cup, so right now the focus is all on Leicester.

"But then we want to get three points against Liverpool, who have started the season really well.

"We know it's going to be a difficult game.

"The WSL is so competitive. You can see how much stronger it's getting each year.

"Teams can take points from anyone, so you always have to bring your best game.

"You can't go out thinking it's going to be an easy win because no game is easy in this league."

Toone's ET7 brand launch is something she has always dreamed of and hopes it can help other aspiring footballers follow in her footsteps.

She said: "I've always wanted my own academy and my own brand. Growing up I loved Cristiano Ronaldo and him having the iconic CR7 brand.

"It was something that I thought, 'Maybe one day it can be ET7'.

"But I think for me, especially with the academy, it's all about giving back.

"I'm really big on grassroots football and where I came from. So hopefully in the future someone can come to my academy and go on to achieve their dreams."

Toone is also eager to connect with her fans in as many ways as possible, although she still finds her meteoric rise a bit surreal.

She added: "I still can't get my head around it!

"Especially when people speak to me on the streets and ask for pictures. I still think, 'Wow, what's going on here?'.

"But it's just part and parcel of the game growing. All our fan bases are growing massively.

"And I want to try and connect with my fans in many different ways, it's really important to me."

WSL growth

The rise in both the popularity of players and the WSL was further evidenced last Sunday as Arsenal beat Chelsea 4-1 in front of a record crowd of 59,042.

Toone said: "It's unbelievable for the women's game.

"Whenever there's a record set, it's so nice to see. We've come such a long way in such a short space of time.

"Hopefully we can continue to push those numbers up and have them consistently at games."

Ella Toone has launched her own brand, ET7. She becomes the first Lioness to trademark her name and has ambitions to open her own football academy in 2024.

The European Championship winner and World Cup finalist has had a meteoric rise to the top of the women's game and is looking to take control of her brand in all aspects.

Manchester United's No7 will look to develop her brand as the women's game continues to attract new fans and strong crowds at WSL matches up and down the country.
