1-1 Draw

Eintracht Frankfurt still have a slender chance of making next season's Champions League, so long as their late-season slump does not hurt them again on the final day.

RB Leipzig are certain of a top-four finish and they have coasted to the end of a solid campaign, leaving them little to play for on the final day.

Team news

Manchester United outcast Donny van de Beek has been ruled out of what has been confirmed to be his final game with Frankfurt.

Sasa Kalajdzic is also missing for the hosts following an ACL injury which is set to keep him on the sidelines long-term.

For Leipzig, they have Xavi Simons back for his final game on loan from PSG, with Xaver Schlager the only absentee for the visitors.

Frankfurt have won one of their last eight league games.

Leipzig are unbeaten in their last 11 matches.

The hosts have as many draws as wins at home in the league this term (7).

Leipzig have suffered only five defeats in their 16 away trips, three of which came at each of the sides above them.

Three of the previous six meetings at Frankfurt have finished 1-1.

Leipzig have scored in 94% of their away trips.

Prediction

Heading into the Bundesliga’s final day, Frankfurt are hoping to put themselves in position to be a potential sixth Bundesliga entrant to next season’s Champions League.

Should fifth-placed Borussia Dortmund win the European Cup, then the extra spot the Bundesliga has already earned would drop to the side in sixth.

Frankfurt head into the weekend three points ahead of seventh-placed Hoffenheim, with just a three-goal swing needed for them to slip down the table.

That should concern the hosts, who are in dire form after winning once in their previous eight league games and have lost three of their last five to leave themselves in this tough position.

Frankfurt host a Leipzig side who are fourth, having put together an 11-game unbeaten run down the stretch. They have got the best record outside of Leverkusen across their last eight matches, while the visitors have lost only two of their 13 visits to sides below them in the table.

However, Leipzig are locked into fourth spot and they have drawn 1-1 in each of their last two games. That opens the door for Frankfurt, who need only a point to put themselves in position for that extra spot in the Champions League.

With three of the last six meetings between the pair here finishing 1-1, back a repeat of that scoreline which would surely suit both sides.
