EFL Trophy acca predictions: Blackpool can anchor 5/1 Tuesday four-fold
There are eight group matches in the Northern and Southern Sections of the EFL Trophy on Tuesday with places in the second round up for grabs.
We have picked out four teams worth backing for victories on matchday three and the accumulator pays almost 5/1.
Recommended four-fold: Blackpool, Stevenage, Carlisle, Wigan at 4.79/1 with LiveScore Bet.
Tuesday, 7pm
League One side Blackpool are hot favourites to make it three wins out of three in the EFL Trophy Northern Section Group A when they host Morecambe of League Two.
The Tangerines have beaten Barrow 2-0 and Liverpool U21 5-2 in their first two games and they have scored eight goals in their last three home matches in League One.
While Blackpool are just outside the play-off places in the third division, Morecambe have lost their last two games in League Two away at Barrow and Grimsby.
They have suffered five defeats in eight away games in the fourth tier this term and may not enjoy Tuesday's trip to Blackpool.
Tuesday, 7pm
Jamie Reid scored the only goal of the game as Stevenage continued their fine campaign in League One with a victory at Wycombe on Saturday.
They have scored seven goals in their last two home games, a 3-1 league win over Derby and a 4-3 FA Cup triumph against Tranmere, and should be too strong for Crystal Palace in Southern Section Group C.
This has been a low-scoring group with Stevenage drawing 1-1 at AFC Wimbledon and losing 1-0 at home to Wycombe, while Palace's youngsters have failed to score in their two defeats.
Stevenage have lost only two of their last 15 home matches in all competitions, beating Championship side Watford on penalties in this season's Carabao Cup, and they can take maximum points on Tuesday.
Tuesday, 7pm
Carlisle are bottom of Northern Section Group C after losing to nil against Accrington Stanley and Nottingham Forest U21 but they can bounce back with a home win over Harrogate Town.
The visitors, beaten 5-3 by Stanley on matchday two, have struggled against the stronger clubs in League Two this season, losing seven of their eight games against the top 10.
Carlisle are in the relegation zone in League One but they remain competitive at that level and their last six games have yielded wins over Burton and Bolton and four 1-0 defeats.
Tuesday, 7pm
Wigan's first two games in Northern Section Group D have been lively affairs with a 7-1 drubbing of Leicester U21 followed by a 3-3 draw with leaders Fleetwood.
The Latics picked up a bonus point for their penalty-shootout win over the Cod Army but Tuesday's opponents Tranmere have suffered defeats to nil in their first two EFL Trophy matches this term.
The Rovers are out of the relegation zone in League Two thanks to their 3-0 weekend win over fellow strugglers Forest Green but they have lost eight of their nine league fixtures against top-half sides.
That suggests they are unlikely to stand firm against League One Wigan, who have won four of their last six league games, beating promotion hopefuls Oxford and Peterborough during that run.
