Chesterfield ended Doncaster’s club record winning run of home wins with a 3-0 triumph in an event-packed clash Sky Bet League Two match at the Eco-Power Stadium.

Doncaster ended the game with nine men following the dismissals of Luke Molyneux and Tom Anderson, with Chesterfield taking the win courtesy of goals from Chey Dunkley, Paddy Madden and James Berry.

The Spireites were deserving of their half-time lead after controlling the first half. Dunkley’s diving header from a Liam Mandeville free-kick put them ahead in the 32nd minute.

Molyneux received a second yellow card in the 51st minute for kicking the ball away and Doncaster’s task was made all the more difficult when Madden netted his first goal for Chesterfield from the spot after Ephraim Yeboah handled.

The hosts pushed for an unlikely comeback but they suffered another blow when Anderson was shown a straight red card with minutes remaining after an off-the-ball incident with Dunkley.

Berry rounded off the scoring for the Spireites deep into added time with a superb individual effort after carrying the ball for 50 yards.
