Dan Butterworth scored a superb solo goal to snatch a point for Swindon in a 2-2 draw at Accrington.

The Robins took the lead but Stanley scored twice and looked in control before Butterworth earned Ian Holloway his first league point since taking charge.

Swindon took the lead in the 10th minute when a long ball forward by Joel McGregor found Harry Smith and he headed home his sixth goal of the season.

Stanley equalised after 16 minutes when Ben Woods’ corner was flicked home by Manchester United loanee Sonny Aljofree at the near post – his first League goal.

Robins goalkeeper Jack Bycroft pulled off a number of superb saves but could not stop Stanley’s second on the half-hour when Donald Love’s free-kick was headed home by Farrend Rawson.

Stanley continued to press after the break, with Dara Costelloe and Rawson unable to find the target with two strong chances.

The Robins equalised in the 69th minute when a quick one-two sent Butterworth racing through and he evaded a number of challenges to fire low into the net.
