- Southampton have taken only two points from nine Premier League away games
- Crystala Palace have not kept a clean sheet in their last four home league matches
- Recommended bet:
Crystal Palace to win and both teams to score

Crystal Palace have earned 10 of their 17 Premier League points this season from away games but they have a strong chance of collecting a second home league win against Southampton on Sunday.

The Saints are hoping their fortunes will turn around after appointing Ivan Juric as manager to succeed Russell Martin and there were some signs of promise as he took charge for the first time in Thursday's 1-0 home defeat to West Ham.

However, that loss extended Southampton's winless run to nine matches and they may have to settle for a consolation goal at Selhurst Park.

Team news

Palace will be without England defender Marc Guehi, who is suspended after collecting a yellow card at Bournemouth. Chris Richards could start in his place.

Adam Wharton, Franco Umeh-Chibueze and Matheus Franca are still out with injuries and Will Hughes will be assessed after going off after 53 minutes against Bournemouth.

Southampton's Jack Stephens, Will Smallbone, Gavin Bazunu and Ross Stewart are out with injuries.

Tyler Dibling and Joe Aribo will be in contention to start after making substitute appearances against West Ham.

Southampton have not won a Premier League away game this season.

Saints have scored only four goals in nine league matches on the road.

Crystal Palace have won three successive Premier League games against Southampton.

Both teams have scored in six of the Eagles' last eight matches.

Southampton have kept only one clean sheet in their last nine games.

Palace have lost just three of their last 12 games.

Prediction

Southampton have plenty of work to do if they are to retain their Premier League place for next season and they still have only one win on the board heading into the final match of the first half of the campaign.

New manager Ivan Juric has the potential to improve their results but it could take time and Thursday's defeat at home to West Ham was their seventh loss in their last nine matches.

Palace are on a three-match winless run in all competitions but two of those were back-to-back losses to Arsenal in the Carabao Cup and the league and they did well to earn a point at Bournemouth on Thursday.

A home game against last-placed Southampton is exactly what they would have wanted as they endeavour to secure a second league win at Selhurst Park this season.

The Eagles' forwards have been looking good and the Bournemouth game was the first time Oliver Glasner's team had failed to score in seven outings, but with Marc Guehi suspended, their defence could be more vulnerable than usual.

Taking Palace to win in a game that sees both teams scoring appeals.
