Mauricio Pochettino says he's happy with his squad ahead of the January transfer window

Mauricio Pochettino claims he is happy to work with what he has at Chelsea after a nail-biting 3-2 win over Luton.

The Blues were cruising at 3-0 but conceded twice late on and will ultimately be glad to have escaped Kenilworth Road with three points.

Chelsea's win lifted them into 10th and Poch insists he is not desperate to add new faces when the transfer window opens in the new year.

He told TNT Sports: "It is a thing that we are going to discuss with the owner.

"At the moment the most important is to work with our squad and our team. Players need to step up and be part of the squad and be available.

"From the beginning of the season, we suffer many injuries.

"Personally, I am not thinking of going into the market but it is something we will discuss with the owners and the sporting director."

Cole Palmer scored either side of a Noni Madueke strike to put Chelsea in command with 20 minutes to play.

But former Blues midfielder Ross Barkley pulled one back before Elijah Adebayo set up a tense finale, with the Hatters also rattling the bar twice and having a goal disallowed.

Veteran defender Thiago Silva was pictured looking angry at the way his side finished the game after the final whistle.

Pochettino added: "Thiago is like this. He is always moaning and never happy — but that is good.

"He is 39 years old and still playing. I think sometimes we are there on the pitch but sometimes it was the small details.

"You want to show that you want to help the team and your emotion is there."
