West Brom and Sheffield United will meet in the standout tie of the Carabao Cup first round.

The draw also sees a replay of last season’s League One play-off semi-final as Sunderland travel to Sheffield Wednesday, who they beat in a dramatic two-legged affair.

There is a repeat of the 2008 FA Cup final as League One Portsmouth make the trip to Cardiff, while Cambridge and Oxford host Millwall and Swansea respectively in two potential banana skins.

A trio of local affairs sees Colchester visit Ipswich, Charlton meet QPR and Salford make the short trip to Bolton.

Another intriguing tie sees Wayne Rooney’s Derby travel to Mansfield, where they will come up against ex-Rams boss Nigel Clough.
