Brighton have confirmed FC Nordsjaelland winger Ibrahim Osman will join the club this summer for a reported fee of £16million.

Osman, 19, will a sign five-year contract with the Seagulls in June 2024 when the transfer window officially re-opens.

The uncapped Ghanaian has notched five goals and four assists in 29 appearances across all competitions for his current employers in 2023-24, including in the Europa Conference League.

Brighton's technical director David Weir said: "We're looking forward to the opportunity of working with Ibrahim.

"He's a young and exciting prospect, but for now it's important that we give him the space to focus fully on Nordsjaelland, where he is enjoying a good season.

“Once the current season is over and he's had the opportunity to rest during the summer, we will bring him into our environment where he will get the time and support he needs to settle here in England."

Nordsjaelland were narrowly eliminated from the Conference League at the group stage and are off the pace in the Superliga title race, though they are through to the Danish Cup semi-finals.

The Danish outfit picked Osman up from the Right to Dream Academy in his homeland, meaning the teenager is following an identical path to that of current Albion first-team star Simon Adingra.

Adingra, 22, has four Premier League goals to his name this term and has been a key part of the Ivory Coast side who will contest tomorrow's Africa Cup of Nations final with Nigeria.

Meanwhile, his Brighton team-mates face a tricky trip to Tottenham this afternoon.
