Barnsley grab last-minute winner at Burton
Stephen Humphrys headed home a last-minute winner to give Barnsley a 2-1 victory at Burton.
The deadline-day signing glanced home a curling cross from Corey O’Keeffe just moments after Jack Cooper-Love headed home a superb equaliser for the Brewers.
The Tykes had gone in front in the first half when skipper Luca Connell unerringly found the bottom corner of the Albion net from a 30-yard free kick having been fouled by Albion skipper Elliot Watt on a rare Barnsley attack.
The goal came very much against the run of play as the visitors weathered plenty of Albion attacking play in the opening half hour.
Albion twice had shouts for a penalty in a positive first-half display, both Cooper-Love and Udoka Godwin-Malife both seemingly brought down but crucially not in the opinion of referee Dean Whitestone.
Max Crocombe denied Davis Keillor-Dunn on 51 minutes to prevent the Tykes doubling their lead, with Adam Phillips firing wide from the rebound.
Cooper-Love looked to have salvaged a deserved point for Albion but Humphrys ensured Barnsley put a bad week on the road behind them.
