Barcelona put on a show to brush Real Betis aside in a 5-0 win with Joao Felix and Joao Cancelo bagging their first goals for the Blaugrana.

The former opened the scoring in the 25th minute by finishing from a tight angle after some strong pressing from Xavi's side.

Felix was then at the heart of the second as he dummied a scything pass from Andreas Christensen into Robert Lewandowski, who coolly slotted the ball into the back of the net.

In the second half, Ferran Torres further consolidated the lead by scoring Barcelona's first direct free-kick since Lionel Messi in May 2021.

Raphinha made it four goals minutes later with an unstoppable strike from the edge of the box into the bottom right corner before Cancelo wrapped up proceedings with a powerful effort past Francisco Vieites.

The victory sees the Blaugrana move up to the top of LaLiga on 13 points continuing their unbeaten league status, although Real Madrid have a chance to reclaim first place against Real Sociedad on Sunday evening.

In what was Xavi's largest victory to date as Barcelona manager, the Spanish tactician still believed there was room for improvement.

He said: "It's impossible to call this a perfect match. We need to improve in several aspects.

"But yes, we played an excellent match, and I am satisfied with the performance of my players and the way they enjoyed the match"

Xavi also credited the fans for driving his team forward.

He said: "It felt like we played at the Camp Nou today. The Fans were spectacular and they helped us a lot."
