Arsenal have released their third kit for the 2023-24 season.

The adidas design takes inspiration from the club's 1982-83 away jersey, a campaign where the Gunners finished a lowly 10th in the First Division but reached the FA Cup semi-finals.

Sporting a mineral green base, combined with collegiate navy shoulders and off-white stylised crest and sponsor logos, the German kit manufacturer and the Gunners have reinvented a cult classic for the present day.

The garments are also made with 100% recycled materials.

Summer signings Declan Rice and Jurrien Timber, as well as injured Lionesses captain Leah Williamson, are among those who feature in a short film promoting the kit, which takes in some recognisable landmarks near the Emirates.

Inigo Turner, design director for football apparel at adidas, said: "Given the depth of Arsenal's kit archive, looking to the past is always an inspiring place to start when designing something for the supporters of today.

"The iconic green away shirt from the 1982-83 season was a one-off and this modern-day expression of this classic blends fashion and football seamlessly.

"As these worlds continue to collide, we've looked to create a kit that is, first and foremost, primed for performance offering the best for the athlete, while also being an eye-catching fashion statement that supporters are proud to wear at matches and away from the stadium."

The new kit is set to be debuted by Arsenal Women when they travel to play Bristol City in the Women's Super League on October 22.

But it could be worn by Mikel Arteta's side as early as next month, although that is dependant on who they draw in the Champions League group stage.

The draw for the European competition will take place on August 31.

The third kit is available from today via adidas stores, Arsenal Direct, Arsenal stores, selected retail outlets and online.
