Mikel Arteta will want to see Arsenal get back to winning ways when they play host to Monaco.

- Arsenal have lost only one of their last 21 home matches in all competitions
- Monaco let slip leads in recent defeats to Benfica and Marseille
- Recommended bet: Arsenal to win 2-1

Arsenal's winning streak ended with a frustrating 1-1 draw at Fulham on Sunday, when the in-form Bukayo Saka had a late effort ruled out for offside by VAR.

The Gunners will be aiming to bounce back from that disappointment with a Champions League win over Monaco at the Emirates Stadium, where they beat French champions Paris Saint-Germain 2-0 on matchday two.

Arsenal hammered Sporting 5-1 in their last European assignment, but they will be wary of a Monaco side who have taken 10 points from five matches this term including a 2-1 home win over Barcelona.

Team news

Arsenal will assess the fitness of defenders Gabriel and Riccardo Calafiori, who missed the weekend trip to Fulham. Full-backs Oleksandr Zinchenko, Ben White and Takehiro Tomiyasu remain sidelined, so Kieran Tierney could get a rare start at left-back.

Monaco are missing suspended defenders Wilfried Singo and Christian Mawissa, while former Arsenal striker Folarin Balogun (shoulder) is injured along with winger Krepin Diatta and midfielder Edan Diop.

The stats

Arsenal have kept clean sheets in six of their last seven Champions League home matches.

The Gunners have scored 16 goals in five games since the November international break.

Arsenal's Saka has racked up seven goals and 11 assists in 19 starts this season.

Monaco have lost four of their last eight games in all competitions, with two of their last four defeats by 2-1 scorelines.

Both teams have scored in eight of Monaco's last 10 Champions League matches.

Prediction

Arsenal have beaten Nottingham Forest 3-0 and Manchester United 2-0 in their last two Premier League home games, but another clean sheet may elude them against a dangerous Monaco side.

The Gunners were missing key centre-back Gabriel for Sunday's draw at Fulham and manager Mikel Arteta also has injury problems in the full-back positions.

A 2-1 Arsenal correct score looks a good bet on Wednesday as two of Monaco's last four defeats have been by that scoreline.

They lost 3-2 at home to Benfica on matchday five, letting slip a 2-1 lead in the last 10 minutes after being reduced to 10 men early in the second half.

Before that setback, Adi Hutter's men had made a fine start to their European campaign, beating 10-man Barcelona 2-1, thrashing Crvena Zvezda 5-1 and winning 1-0 in Bologna.

However, their defensive vulnerability was exposed by a 2-2 draw away to Dinamo Zagreb and, having lost three of their last six Ligue 1 games, they could come up short on their trip to north London.
