Crystal Palace to win

Wolves are yet to win in the Premier League this season and their wait for that first triumph could be prolonged when Crystal Palace visit Molineux on Saturday.

Gary O'Neil's side have ran some of the division's best close this term, losing out 2-1 to Newcastle, Liverpool and Manchester City, but they are not getting the results they maybe deserve and this has left them just one place off the bottom.

Palace are just two places and four points ahead of their opponents, but the Eagles have hit some form over the last week and they head into this clash on a two-game winning streak.

Team news

Sam Johnstone, Bastien Meupiyou and Mario Lemina are all rated as doubtful for the hosts due to injury, while Hee Chan Hwang is not expected back until mid-November and Boubacar Traore has been pencilled in for a December return.

Yerson Mosquera and Enso Gonzalez are both long-term absentees.

Jefferson Lerma and Chris Richards remain sidelined for Palace, who are also without the services of Chadi Riad and Matheus Franca.

Cheick Doucoure has been recovering from a toe injury and he could be involved in the matchday squad.

The stats

Wolves have lost seven and drawn two of their nine league fixtures, a run of results that leaves them 19th in the standings.

O'Neil's side have lost all four league matches at Molineux, scoring five times and conceding 12 goals.

Palace are on a two-game winning run heading into this contest, having beaten Tottenham 1-0 at Selhurst Park before overcoming Aston Villa 2-1 on the road in the last-16 stage of the Carabao Cup.

The Eagles did the double over Wolves in the 2023-24 campaign, winning 3-2 at home before triumphing 3-1 at Molineux in May this year.

England international Eberechi Eze scored in both of those fixtures.

Prediction

Wolves desperately need points as the pressure continues to ramp up on O'Neil and his side did show character to come from 2-0 down at Brighton last time out to draw 2-2.

However, the Black Country outfit are shipping far too many goals and their tally of 25 conceded is the worst record in the division, evidence of where the problems are.

Palace are starting to build some momentum with victories over Spurs and Villa and Oliver Glasner will be hoping his side can keep improving when they head to Molineux, a stadium they have won at on two of their last three trips.

The Eagles have the bit between their teeth and they look capable of piling more misery on Wolves, who could be forced into a managerial change if results do not improve.
