Transfer Talk: United Kud rival Chelsea and Arsenal for Mohammed
Manchester United are plotting a move for Ajax attacker Mohammed Kudus if they fail to land Rasmus Hojlund from Atalanta.
Denmark striker Hojlund remains Erik ten Hag's No1 target up front this summer but are reluctant to pay more than £60million for the 20-year-old.
According to the Mirror, Kudus is on United's list of alternatives alongside Randal Kolo Muani of Eintracht Frankfurt.
They will have to fight off competition from two of their Premier League rivals if they are to secure a move for the Ghanaian.
Caught Offside are reporting that Chelsea are close to agreeing personal terms with the advanced midfielder, who turns 23 in August.
Arsenal are also chasing the £40m-rated star but are likely to have to offload players first after a busy summer that has seen Kai Havertz, Jurrien Timber and Declan Rice come through the door.
Though less of an out-and-out striker compared to Hojlund, Kudus has proven pedigree in front of goal after netting 18 times for Ajax in all competitions last term.
