Transfer Talk: United urge Kane to force Tottenham's hand
Manchester United have not given up on signing Tottenham striker Harry Kane, according to The Sun.
United have reportedly urged Kane to slap in a transfer request to force a move ahead of the new season.
Spurs have been reluctant to negotiate over the England striker and Old Trafford powerbrokers are growing increasingly frustrated with their Premier League rivals.
Kane, 29, has a year left on his Tottenham deal and has previously spoken of his desire to add silverware to the personal accolades he has already collected.
But Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is a reluctant seller and it appears the North London outfit may be willing to let their star man run down his deal unless an overseas club make an offer that cannot be refused.
Rice development
While Kane remains United's main priority, the Carabao Cup winners have emerged as contenders to sign West Ham skipper Declan Rice.
Arsenal have already bid to secure the England midfielder's services but the Red Devils are said to be interested in a players-plus-cash deal.
The Telegraph suggest England defender Harry Maguire or Scotland ace Scott McTominay may be offered to the Hammers to sweeten the deal.
