QPR vs Stoke predictions: No thrills expected at Loftus Road

&w=707&quality=100)
- QPR have scored four home goals all season
- Stoke are without a goal in their last three Championship games
- Recommended bet: Under 1.5 goals
Relegation-threatened QPR will be seeking their first win under new head coach Marti Cifuentes when they welcome Stoke to Loftus Road on Tuesday.
Cifuentes has seen his side pick up just two points and score only once across his three matches in charge, with Rangers heading into the midweek programme just one off the bottom off the Championship standings and six points adrift of safety,
Mid-table Stoke saw their recent upturn in form ended in emphatic fashion by Blackburn last time out and that 3-0 home defeat means the Potters head into this game having failed to score in three matches on the bounce.
Team news
QPR will once again have to make do without left-back Morgan Fox, with a knee injury denying him the chance to face his former club.
However, fellow defender Jake Clarke-Salter did feature in the matchday squad for the first time in a month against Norwich last time out and could now be pushing for a starting berth.
Stoke have no fresh injury concerns to contend with, but defender Ben Wilmot and midfielder Lewis Baker (both knee) remain unavailable to boss Alex Neil.
The stats
Saturday's 1-0 loss at Norwich was QPR's first defeat since Cifuentes arrived in the dugout, but it also extended their winless run in the Championship to 12 matches and they are heading into the midweek six points adrift of safety.
The Rs are yet to win at Loftus Road in the league this season and their record of two points and just four goals from their seven home matches to date is by far the worst in the division.
QPR's last home win was a 1-0 success over Watford in March and they have suffered 10 defeats in 13 matches on their own patch since.
Stoke saw their recent five-match unbeaten run ended by Blackburn last time out and they have now gone three matches without a goal.
However, the Potters also do not concede many, as the three they shipped against Blackburn ended a run of four successive clean sheets.
The previous six meetings between these two sides have yielded just six goals, with the corresponding fixture at Loftus Road last season ending 0-0.

Prediction
Neutrals seeking an entertaining match to take in from the Championship this midweek may want to look elsewhere, as goals and wins have been hard to come by for QPR and Stoke of late.
As the lowest home scorers in the Championship and the only team in the division without a win on their own turf, QPR's problems are clear for all to see, but despite a recent unbeaten run, Stoke also have issues, particularly going forward.
No team outside the bottom four have scored fewer Championship goals than the Potters total of 16, while QPR's tally of 11 is only better than rock-bottom Sheffield Wednesday.
With a lack of goals having also been a theme of recent meetings between these two sides, nobody should be expecting a classic at Loftus Road, with a goal between the pair perhaps the best anyone can hope for.
