Liverpool boss Arne Slot will hope his team can maintain their advantage in the Premier League when they face West Ham

- Manchester City looking to return to winning ways at Leicester's expense
- Manchester United face difficult Newcastle contest
- League-leaders Liverpool away at West Ham

Given Manchester City are currently sat seventh, just months after winning the title, it is fair to say 2024 has been a thrilling year of Premier League action.

From Aston Villa to Nottingham Forest, there have been surprise packages galore, and it would be no surprise to see more shocks on the final Premier League matchday of the calendar year, in which Manchester United's clash with Newcastle is the highlight.

Leicester City vs Manchester City (Sunday, 2.30pm)

Manchester City's miserable run is still ongoing, with just one win in 13 for Pep Guardiola's men, but they should still have too much for a struggling Leicester, who have conceded 10 goals while losing their last three games.

Score prediction: Leicester City 1-3 Manchester City

Crystal Palace vs Southampton (Sunday, 3pm)

Despite the loss to West Ham, there were enough positive signs in Ivan Juric's first game as Southampton boss to suggest they can earn a point at Crystal Palace, who have drawn four of their last seven league games.

Score prediction: Crystal Palace 1-1 Southampton

Everton vs Nottingham Forest (Sunday, 3pm)

Top-four hopefuls Nottingham Forest are on a four-game winning streak which includes victories over Manchester United, Aston Villa and Tottenham.

Everton will make life tough, as shown by their trio of consecutive draws against Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester City, but the Reds are fancy to just edge things on Merseyside.

Score prediction: Everton 0-1 Nottingham Forest

Fulham vs Bournemouth (Sunday, 3pm)

Both Fulham and Bournemouth are unbeaten in six and just one point separates the pair in the table, suggesting a stalemate is on the cards at Craven Cottage.

Score prediction: Fulham 1-1 Bournemouth

Tottenham vs Wolves (Sunday, 3pm)

Vitor Pereira has won his first two games with Wolves by an aggregate score of 5-0 and they could pull off a shock at Tottenham, who have lost four of their last five league games, a rout of basement boys Southampton the exception.

Score prediction: Tottenham 1-2 Wolves

West Ham vs Liverpool (Sunday, 5.15pm)

A four-game unbeaten streak has eased the pressure on Julen Lopetegui, but even that upturn in form is unlikely to be enough to prevent the leaders, Liverpool, from landing a fourth away win on the spin.

Score prediction: West Ham 1-3 Liverpool

Aston Villa vs Brighton (Monday, 7.45pm)

Aston Villa have won three home games in a row and they should have too much for Brighton, whose winless run now stands at six.

Score prediction: Aston Villa 2-1 Brighton

Ipswich vs Chelsea (Monday, 7.45pm)

Ipswich put in an embarrassing performance at Arsenal and while they may not be so timid at Portman Road, they showed nothing to suggest they can stop Chelsea from bouncing back to winning ways.

Score prediction: Ipswich 0-2 Chelsea

Manchester United have lost their last three games under Ruben Amorim ahead of clash with Newcastle

Manchester United vs Newcastle (Monday, 8pm)

Thanks in large part to Alexander Isak's stellar form, Newcastle have scored 14 goals while winning their last four games and they will fancy their chances at Old Trafford.

Manchester United are still finding their feet under Ruben Amorim and three losses in a row, as well as the absence of Bruno Fernandes, suggests they may struggle against the in-form Magpies.

Score prediction: Manchester United 1-2 Newcastle

Brentford vs Arsenal (Tuesday, 5.30pm)

Brentford's unbeaten home record was snapped via a 2-0 loss to Nottingham Forest and Arsenal, who have netted 17 goals in a five-match unbeaten run on their travels, have nothing to fear ahead of this short trip across the capital.

Score prediction: Brentford 0-2 Arsenal
