Arsenal and Manchester City's blockbuster clash on Sunday headlines a tasty Matchday 8 in the Premier League.

Luton host Tottenham in the weekend's opening encounter before struggling Manchester United play Brentford, while Brighton and Liverpool also collide on the South Coast.

We have the key stats covered on all 10 matches below.

Luton vs Tottenham (Saturday, 12.30pm, TNT Sports)

Luton will look to make in-form Tottenham their first Kenilworth Road victims of the campaign in Saturday's early kick-off.

The Hatters' home form was imperative to their unexpected Championship promotion last term but they have taken just a solitary point from their opening three top-flight games on their own patch.

No team in the division can better Spurs' current eight-game unbeaten streak, while Ange Postecoglou could become the first ever Premier League boss to see his team score twice in all of his opening eight games in charge.

Burnley vs Chelsea (Saturday, 3pm)

Fresh off the back of three much-needed points against Luton, Burnley face one of their biggest bogey sides in Chelsea.

The Clarets have won only one of the previous 16 Premier League meetings between the pair, with the Blues registering an impressive seven wins in eight trips to Turf Moor.

Mauricio Pochettino's men have tightened up defensively with three clean sheets in their last five league outings — though they have not managed consecutive shutouts since February.

Everton vs Bournemouth (Saturday, 3pm)

Everton have an ideal opportunity to brush off a shock loss to Luton when winless Bournemouth visit Merseyside.

Goodison Park is usually a fortress for the Toffees but alongside Burnley, they are looking to avoid becoming the fourth Premier League team ever to lose their first five home fixtures of a campaign.

Andoni Iraola has so far been unable to stop the Cherries leaking goals. Since the start of last term, the 86 strikes they have shipped is eight more than any other top-tier side.

Fulham vs Sheffield United (Saturday, 3pm)

Sheffield United's wait for a first win looks set to continue if their record against London clubs is anything to go by.

Only they and Bournemouth are yet to taste victory this term and the Blades have won only two of 31 Premier League clashes in the capital, losing their last eight by an aggregate score of 20-3.

Hosts Fulham have lacked a clinical edge this term however, scoring just five goals in their first seven games — with only one of those coming at Craven Cottage.

Manchester United vs Brentford (Saturday, 3pm)

Erik ten Hag desperately needs three points to ease the increasing pressure levels at Old Trafford when his Manchester United side host Brentford.

The Red Devils have lost six out of 10 matches across all competitions this term but did win both clashes against the Bees last season without conceding a goal.

Thomas Frank's visitors are having real trouble holding on to leads. They have hit the front in five games this term but only managed to see a victory through once, drawing the other four.

Crystal Palace vs Nottingham Forest (Saturday, 5.30pm, Sky Sports)

Crystal Palace will fancy their chances of registering a first ever Premier League victory over Nottingham Forest in Saturday's late kick-off.

Forest have won three of the previous meetings with the other three ending level — it is the most the Eagles have faced a side in the competition without winning.

Roy Hodgson will manage his 400th Premier League match here. Four of the previous seven bosses to reach that milestone marked the occasion with three points.

Brighton vs Liverpool (Sunday, 2pm, Sky Sports)

Brighton will try to end a tough week on a high note when Liverpool visit the Amex on Sunday.

Having been thumped 6-1 by Aston Villa before coming from 2-0 down to salvage a Europa League draw in Marseille, Roberto De Zerbi's men now look to register consecutive league wins over the Reds for the first time ever.

The visitors would do well to keep 11 men on the pitch. Four red cards in their last six league matches are as many as Jurgen Klopp's men received in their previous 178 outings.

West Ham vs Newcastle (Sunday, 2pm)

Newcastle will still be on cloud nine from their midweek heroics against Paris Saint-Germain when travelling south to face West Ham.

Eddie Howe's side have certainly found their stride, winning their last three Premier League games by an aggregate scoreline of 11-0 and went unbeaten in seven trips to London last term.

Hammers forward Jarrod Bowen's five goals already this season have earned him an England recall but the 26-year-old has failed to score in seven meetings with the Magpies.

Wolves vs Aston Villa (Sunday, 2pm)

West Midlands rivals Wolves and Aston Villa face off after both securing impressive results last weekend.

Gary O'Neil's hosts stunned Manchester City 2-1 and despite their lowly league position have now won eight of their 13 top-flight home games in 2023.

Villa will be worthy favourites having taken 15 points from their opening seven matches but must arrest a dire recent record at Molineux, losing five of their last six visits.

Arsenal vs Manchester City (Sunday, 4.30pm, Sky Sports)

A clash between last season's top two brings the curtain down on the weekend slate as Arsenal welcome reigning champions Manchester City to the Emirates.

The Gunners have an abject record against the Citizens in recent times. They have lost 12 straight league meetings, shipping 33 goals in that run and scoring a miserly five.

Visiting midfielder Rodri's suspension should give cause for hope, however. Without their Spanish anchorman, City have lost 33% of their league games compared to only a 13% loss ratio when he features.
