The Hatters' three home defeats on their return to the top-flight have all been by a one-goal margin, against West Ham, Burnley and Tottenham, so Arsenal may have to work hard to claim three points on Tuesday.

The league leaders scored an 89th-minute winner at Brentford in their most recent away game before thumping Lens 6-0 in the Champions League and beating Wolves 2-1 at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday.

Luton wing-back Issa Kabore returned from concussion to play at Brentford on Saturday but centre-backs Tom Lockyer and Teden Mengi are injured.

Forward Jacob Brown is pushing for a start after coming off the bench to score in the Hatters' last two games. Marvelous Nakamba and Alfie Doughty are likely to miss out and Arsenal loanee Albert Sambi Lokonga is ineligible.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta could freshen up his starting line-up by recalling Kai Havertz and Eddie Nketiah, who made substitute appearances in the win over Wolves.

Ben White should replace right-back Takehiro Tomiyasu, who suffered a knock on Saturday. Fabio Vieira, Emile Smith Rowe, Thomas Partey and Jurrien Timber are sidelined.

Luton stood firm until half-time before slipping to a 3-1 defeat at Brentford on Saturday and they will be aiming to frustrate Tuesday's visitors Arsenal.

The Gunners were 5-0 up at half-time against Lens in the Champions League and scored twice in the first 13 minutes of their weekend win over Wolves.

However, the Premier League leaders have been less fluent away from home this term, grinding out 1-0 wins at Crystal Palace, Everton and Brentford, where they needed a late goal from Kai Havertz to break the deadlock.

Arsenal won 4-0 away to Bournemouth at the end of September, helped by some charitable defending from the Cherries, but Luton have made life difficult for visitors to Kenilworth Road this term.

The Gunners have kept clean sheets in 14 of their 16 away league wins since the start of last season, but Luton's first six home games all ended with under 3.5 goals and they are unlikely to roll over on their own patch.
